Government agencies ready to receive eInvoices

Central Government agencies were tasked to be eInvoicing ‘receive’ capable this year and wider government are also encouraged to adopt the functionality.

17 government agencies are ready now and the remainder are implementing their functionality over the next 12 months.

Plus, there are more than 5,500 businesses registered to receive eInvoices and growing every month.
If businesses supply to any of these agencies or other businesses registered to receive eInvoices, AND they have software that can send or receive eInvoices, they’ll be able to send eInvoices . They’re likely to need reference details like a purchase order number and no doubt they’ll be in touch to let you know that eInvoices (and not PDFs) will be their preference in the future. Over time it will become the only way government will accept invoices.
Most small businesses already have easy, affordable access to eInvoicing capability. Many business and accounting software products can send and receive eInvoices with many more progressively adding the functionality throughout 2022.
